Three district materials, Glenorchy schist, cedar and glass have been used externally, contrasted with accents of charred larch. At the entrance, stone elements smoothly transition from exterior to interior, marking a sense of arrival and tying together the two gabled volumes that separately accommodate public and private spaces. Internally the design features natural oak flooring, dark stained timber joinery and Italian stone, combining to add warmth and richness to the home.
